Insulation is available as an option with all Brilex explosion vents. Standard material is rockwool inside a sealed aluminium cover. Rockwool is fire resistant and has excellent thermal and sound proof properties.When the explosion vent opens, the cover is retained with the main part of the explosion vent. This maintains the explosion vent's non-fragmenting design. Insulation can be ordered with either 40mm, 60mm, 80mm,100mm or larger thickness depending on the requirement. Armaflex insulation is also available as an option. Brilex Explosion Vents have 100% venting efficiency even with the addition of Rockwool Insulation.
