| Lumiglas Luminaire Series USL05 for use with sightglass fittings. This versatile luminaire is ideally suited for use with integral light/sight port (single flange version) or separate light and sight port (dual flange version)
Super Compact and Powerful
Provides glare free illumination; fits bolted circular sightglass assemblies similar to DIN 28120 / DIN 28121 as well as screwed sightglass fittings similar to DIN 11851. Sizes depending on style, from DN 25 upward.
Application
Illumination of the internals of sight flow indicators, pipeline flow indicators, laboratory and pilot plant, mixers, reactors and other closed vessels in non 'Ex' hazardous production areas; suitable for use in food stuff processing.
Protection Index
Dust and Waterjet proof; IP65 to EN 60 529 / DIN VDE 0470 part 1.
Ambient Conditions:
Independent of internal vessel pressure or vacuum, max. ambient temperature is 80 deg C at the cable gland, with ambient temperature in excess of 40 deg C, temperature resistant cable eg 4GMH4G-J3x 1.5mm2) is required.

Available as separate units, AC mains to 24V secondary output.
Mechanical Installation:
On bolted circular sight glass fittings and flow indicators, the luminaire is mounted on the cover flange face by means of a hinged bracket. On screwed sight glasses, the luminaire is mounted on the slotted cover nut by means of a flanged adaptor collar. The lumiglas luminaire USL05 suits the following sizes upward:
a)circular sightglass fittings to DIN 28120: DN25...
b)circular sightglass fittings to DIN 28121: DN40...
c)flow indicators
d)screwed sightglass fittings to DIN 11 851
-with DN 65 the luminaire is secured using separate flanged adaptor collar. - from DN80 the luminaire is secured using hinged bracket.
Using Hinged Bracket: The bracket is mounted on the flange face either using the M5 screw provided for the blind tapped hole on the flange bolt pitch circle or by welding the foot on.
Using the flanged adaptor collar: The flanged collar is laid between the slotted cover nut (DIN 11851) and sight glass disc; a suitable gasket is laid between glass and collar, cover nut tightened, luminaire body passed into collar and lateral grub screws tightened.
Electrical connection
-Select a cable suitable for the operating conditions and the cable outside diameter should match the cable entry gland. - Loosen and unscrew lens ring with claw spanner. - loosen cable gland. - Pass cable through cable entry gland and fasten cores on to terminals in luminaire body. - Tighten cable gland. - Refit lens ring and screw tight until seal is made: Caution: ensure O-ring gasket lies correctly in its recess in luminaire body.
Lamp Change
-Disconnect Power.- Unscrew lens ring with claw spanner (to be ordered separately).-Pull out lamp- Holding new lamp with protective material, carefully insert the two pins in socket and gently but firmly push home.-Screw lens ring back until fully sealed.- Reconnect power.
