WHATS NEW - February 2001
CMC Technologies was appointed in March 2001 the sole and exclusive Australian agent/distributor for Thorwesten Vent - Germany. Thorwesten Vent's air cushion design explosion doors and explosion diverters now form part of CMC's explosion protection capabilities. This range of equipment manufactured in Germany now compliments the BRILEX explosion vents that CMC Technologies also sells. Specifically Thorwesten explosion doors and diverters are used where re-closing is required immediately after an explosion to allow the process to continue with minimal shut-down time. The explosion doors are are also designed for frequent use and are designed in Thorwesten Vent's range of explosion diverters for pressure decoupling.In addition , Thorwesten Vent provides engineering for the manufacture of pressure shock resistant silos. Silo pressure shock resistance is an important factor when considering the overall explosion protection criteria for silos that hold combustible dusts. |
